Robert Novy is a Senior Director focused on the strategic initiatives and corporate affairs of the Oracle Corporation. In this role, he has a multidisciplinary mission executing the priorities of the CEO.
Mr. Novy retired from U.S. Government service after 33 years, where he served as a senior executive (SES) with the U.S. Secret Service focusing on sensitive global field operations, national security, critical infrastructure / cybersecurity, protection, criminal investigations, resilience, international relations, workforce development, and government affairs.
His multiple SES positions at the U.S. Secret Service include serving as a Deputy Assistant Director for Investigations, Deputy Assistant Director for Intergovernmental and Legislative Affairs and the Special Agent in Charge of the James J. Rowley Training Center where he served as the director of the U.S. Secret Service’s 400-acre education and training academy.
Prior to these assignments, Mr. Novy was detailed to National Security Council at the White House serving as the Director for Cybersecurity Incident Response, Intelligence and
Defense Policy.
Throughout his career, he initiated and managed high-profile transnational cyber and financial crime investigations including network intrusions and the theft of data and information from corporate, financial and government institutions.
Prior to his Secret Service career, he was an Assistant Branch Chief for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Novy’s service extends outside the private sector and federal government, as a member of the Board of Advisors for the University of Texas at Austin, Center for Identity, and previously as a member of the adjunct faculty for the Carnegie Mellon University, Heinz College, School of Public Policy and Management teaching a course in Cybersecurity Policy.
He graduated from Troy University with a Master of Public Administration, from Excelsior University with a Bachelor of Science and completed the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) program at Carnegie Mellon University.
