David is Senior Director for Government Affairs at Autodesk. His work focuses on engagement with government officials, industry associations and public policy organizations on technology policy issues including data privacy and security, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, intellectual property protection and international trade. He also advocates for public policies related to use of digital design and construction technologies in transportation and infrastructure development, advanced manufacturing and digital skills training in workforce development.
Before joining Autodesk, David served as Director of Policy for BSA | The Software Alliance, a leading association of software companies. Earlier in his career, David held positions in the government with the US Export-Import Bank, the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission and US Representative Lawrence J. Smith (FL).
David received a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two daughters.
